While visiting some of the most beautiful places in Riga, you will hear about the history of the city’s Jewish community and find out about the lives of some great Rigans.
The tour starts with a visit to the Jews in Latvia museum, which is located in a beautiful Art Nouveau building. This will give you a short introduction to the Jewish community of Riga, their history and the current situation.
Continue exploring the city with a walk through the Art Nouveau district. You will see some pearls of this style and get to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of one of the most elegant areas of Riga, home to some great restaurants, cafes and boutique shops.
The next destination is the lively Old Town. The city was founded here in 1201, and every century since has left its footprints. With its many public buildings, museums, restaurants and bars, our Old Town still contributes to Latvia’s continuing history. Our last stop will be a visit to Riga Synagogue, another wonderful example of the Art Nouveau style – built in 1905, spared during World War II and renovated in the first decade of the 2000s.
